Corona Community AME Church has a growing and thriving children’s ministry, in which children are engaged in fun activities that teach them about being followers of Jesus Christ. Children ages 3-9, have attended “children’s church” during the sermon portion of the 10:45 am worship service. Children’s church instructors are “parent volunteers”, utilizing interactive biblically-based lessons to foster spiritual growth.
The children of Corona Community Church love “children’s church”, and parents often share that their children can’t wait to return
from Sunday to Sunday. Children learn the Lord’s Prayer, the Ten Commandments, How to Memorize Scripture, key Biblical figures,
and the importance of being a Christian.
Every third Sunday, the youth of CCC lead the worship service for both the 8am and 10:45 services, our youth choirs lead “Praise and Worship”, and the sermon is provided by one of our youth ministers.
Our Young people are also encouraged to participate in our Young People’s Department (YPD), which meets on the third Saturday of each month, engaging in community service, learning African American history, character development, mentoring, leadership development, and fun field trips.
